Now, imagine bringing that same excitement to the world of Warhammer, a popular tabletop miniature wargame. Welcome to the Fantasy Warhammer League, a revolutionary concept that combines the strategic depth of Warhammer with the competitive spirit of fantasy sports leagues.

The Concept of Fantasy Warhammer League

The Fantasy Warhammer League is an innovative platform where players can draft armies from various factions within the Warhammer universe. Just like in fantasy sports, players can assemble their dream team, or in this case, their dream army, from a diverse pool of factions, each with unique strengths, weaknesses, and abilities.

The league operates on a simulated battlefield, where the outcomes of the battles are determined by a combination of strategic planning, army composition, and a dash of luck. Players can bet on these outcomes, adding an extra layer of excitement and competition to the game.

Drafting Armies

The drafting process is a crucial part of the Fantasy Warhammer League. Players must carefully select their armies from a wide array of Warhammer factions. These factions range from the disciplined and technologically advanced Adeptus Mechanicus, to the brutal and savage Orks, to the mystical and ancient Eldar. Each faction offers unique units and strategies, making the drafting process a strategic endeavor in itself.

Simulated Battles

Once the armies are drafted, they are pitted against each other in simulated battles. These simulations take into account the unique abilities and strategies of each faction, as well as the tactical decisions made by the players. The result is a dynamic and unpredictable battle that mirrors the complexity and excitement of a real Warhammer game.

Betting on Outcomes

To add an extra layer of competition, players can bet on the outcomes of these simulated battles. This feature brings a sense of anticipation and risk that is similar to fantasy sports betting. Players can analyze the strengths and weaknesses of the drafted armies, predict the outcomes, and place their bets accordingly. This adds a thrilling dimension to the game, making each battle a high-stakes event.

Conclusion

The Fantasy Warhammer League is an exciting new concept that brings together the strategic depth of Warhammer and the competitive spirit of fantasy sports leagues. By allowing players to draft armies, simulate battles, and bet on outcomes, it offers a unique and engaging gaming experience. Whether you're a seasoned Warhammer veteran or a fantasy sports enthusiast looking for a new challenge, the Fantasy Warhammer League promises to deliver a thrilling and strategic gaming experience.

These virtual treasure chests, purchasable within the game, offer players the opportunity to win a variety of items, from rare units to powerful weapons. However, the catch is that players do not know what they will receive until after the purchase, introducing an element of gambling into the gaming experience.

The Allure of Loot Boxes

The concept of loot boxes is not new in the world of video games. They are essentially randomized virtual items that players can purchase or earn, which contain a variety of in-game goods. The appeal lies in the mystery and anticipation - the thrill of not knowing what you will get. In the case of Warhammer, these loot boxes can contain anything from rare and powerful units, to unique weapons, or other valuable items that can significantly enhance gameplay.

The Gambling Element

While loot boxes can add an exciting dimension to gaming, they also introduce an element of risk. Players are essentially betting on the unknown, hoping that their purchase will yield valuable items. This aspect of loot boxes has led to comparisons with gambling. Just like a slot machine, each purchase is a roll of the dice, with the outcome entirely dependent on chance. This has raised concerns about the potential for addiction, particularly among younger players who may not fully understand the risks involved.

The Impact on Warhammer Gaming

The introduction of loot boxes in Warhammer video games has undeniably added a new layer of complexity and excitement. For some, the chance to win rare and powerful items adds a thrilling edge to their gaming experience. For others, however, the gambling element is a cause for concern, raising questions about the ethics of such a feature in a game that is popular with a wide age range.

Conclusion

As the debate around Warhammer's loot boxes continues, it is clear that they have made a significant impact on the gaming experience. Whether viewed as an exciting addition or a controversial feature, loot boxes have undeniably transformed the landscape of Warhammer gaming. As with any form of risk, it is essential for players to understand the implications and make informed decisions about their participation.

Now, imagine adding a thrilling twist of chance to this strategic universe. Welcome to Warhammer Roulette, a roulette-style game where each slot on the wheel represents a different faction or unit from the Warhammer universe.

Game Concept:

Warhammer Roulette is a unique fusion of the classic casino game, roulette, and the rich, diverse universe of Warhammer. The game is played on a specially designed roulette wheel, where each slot represents a different faction or unit from the Warhammer universe. From the noble Space Marines to the savage Orks, the mystical Eldar to the terrifying Tyranids, each faction finds a place on the wheel.

Gameplay:

Just like traditional roulette, players place their bets on which faction or unit the ball will land on. The croupier spins the wheel and sends the ball in the opposite direction. As the wheel slows, the anticipation builds. Will the ball land on the Space Marines, or will the Chaos Gods have their day?

Betting:

Players can place a variety of bets, just like in traditional roulette. They can bet on a single faction, a combination of factions, or even on specific characteristics, such as factions belonging to a particular alignment (Order, Chaos, Destruction, or Death). The odds vary depending on the specificity and likelihood of the bet, making the game accessible to both newcomers and seasoned Warhammer veterans.

Conclusion:

Warhammer Roulette is a thrilling new way to engage with the Warhammer universe. It combines the strategic depth and rich lore of Warhammer with the excitement and unpredictability of roulette. This realm, teeming with unpredictable energies and malevolent entities, serves as the backdrop for an innovative new game concept: Wager of the Warp. In this game, players are invited to place bets on the outcome of battles fought within the Warp, adding an extra layer of excitement and uncertainty to the traditional gaming experience.

The Warp: A Realm of Unpredictability

The Warp, also known as the Immaterium, is a parallel dimension of psychic energy that echoes and shapes the material universe. It is a realm of dreams and nightmares, where reality is fluid and time and space are distorted. This chaotic nature of the Warp is what makes Wager of the Warp a unique and thrilling game. The unpredictability of the Warp's influence on battles means that even the most experienced players cannot predict the outcome with certainty, making every bet a high-stakes gamble.

Gameplay: Betting on Chaos

In Wager of the Warp, players are not the warriors but the spectators and gamblers. They place bets on various aspects of the battles taking place in the Warp. These can range from the victor of the battle, the number of casualties, the types of weapons used, to the duration of the fight. The possibilities are as limitless as the Warp itself.

The game's mechanics are designed to reflect the unpredictability of the Warp. Random events, influenced by the chaotic energy of the Warp, can drastically change the course of a battle. A leading faction could suddenly find itself at a disadvantage due to a Warp storm, or a minor skirmish could escalate into a full-blown battle due to the intervention of a Warp entity. These elements add a thrilling unpredictability to each wager.

The Thrill of the Gamble

What sets Wager of the Warp apart from traditional Warhammer games is the element of gambling. The thrill of placing a bet, the tension as the battle unfolds, and the exhilaration or disappointment when the outcome is revealed, all contribute to an immersive and exciting gaming experience. The chaotic nature of the Warp means that no two games are ever the same, ensuring that Wager of the Warp remains fresh and engaging, game after game.

Conclusion

Wager of the Warp offers a fresh take on the Warhammer universe, inviting players to engage with the chaotic and unpredictable nature of the Warp in a new and exciting way. Now, a new game is set to take the Warhammer universe by storm: Dice of Fate. This Warhammer-themed dice game combines the thrill of gambling with the strategic elements of Warhammer, offering a unique gaming experience for both seasoned Warhammer veterans and newcomers alike.

The Concept of Dice of Fate

Dice of Fate is a game of chance and strategy, where players gamble on the outcomes of dice rolls. However, it's not just a simple game of dice. Dice of Fate incorporates elements of Warhammer lore and mechanics, adding layers of complexity and strategy to the game. The result is a game that is easy to learn, yet offers depth and replayability that will keep players coming back for more.

Warhammer Elements in Dice of Fate

One of the key features of Dice of Fate is the incorporation of Warhammer factions. Each faction has its own unique dice, reflecting the strengths and weaknesses of that faction in the Warhammer universe. For instance, a faction known for its brute strength might have dice that are more likely to result in high numbers, while a faction known for its cunning might have dice that offer more strategic options.

In addition to unique dice, each faction also has special abilities that can affect the outcome of the game. These abilities can be used to tilt the odds in your favor, add an unexpected twist to the game, or even turn the tables on an opponent who seems to be in the lead. These special abilities add an element of unpredictability to the game, ensuring that no two games of Dice of Fate are ever the same.

Conclusion

Dice of Fate is more than just a dice game. It's a game that captures the essence of Warhammer, from the distinctive factions to the strategic gameplay. Whether you're a fan of Warhammer looking for a new way to enjoy the universe, or a fan of dice games looking for something with a bit more depth, Dice of Fate is a game worth checking out. With its blend of chance, strategy, and Warhammer lore, Dice of Fate is a game that promises endless hours of fun and excitement.

Total War: Warhammer developer Creative Assembly has confirmed that it still has at least one more content pack in development for the game.

In a blog post, the developer said that the next pack will indeed be called The Old Friend and will be tied to an event later this summer.

Expect something “along the lines of the Blood Knight Free-LC,” though it’s not necessarily going to be a new unit. It also definitely won’t be Kislev, as some speculated, but a new race has been confirmed.

“We’d been thinking about what sort of content could be added to the first game, and what that might be,” the blog post reads.

“We’ve hit on something we think is a pretty good opportunity to add some more content to the game, so there will be a new Race Pack released later in the year, before Warhammer 2 is released.”

Whatever this DLC is, it’s going to add some unique gameplay mechanics, Creative Assembly promised. Alongside the DLC, a free update will be released for the game.sQrenhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17755737021153564133noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6068832065901189701.post-55747397939453941482017-05-24T13:28:00.000-07:002017-05-24T13:28:11.001-07:00'Total War: Warhammer 2' Update: Sequel Looks Visually Awesome in Latest Trailer; Dev Offers First Look at Lizardmen Hordes Re

'Total War: Warhammer 2' latest trailer teases first closer look at Lizardmen hordes in visually stunning graphics.

"Total War: Warhammer 2" looks visually awesome in latest in-engine trailer. Creative Assembly has also teased a first closer look at one of the four playable races to be introduced in the sequel.

In the most recent in-engine trailer for "Total War: Warhammer 2", the game developer unfolds an amazing better visual graphics. The video also reveals the Lizardmen hordes, one of the new playable races in the sequel. go berserk through the forests of Lustria.

It is noted that these reptilian warriors are known to be one of legendary races in the Warhammer universe. However, its civilization has been reduced to near extinction by the Great Cataclysm and currently lies in ruin.

The Slann Mage priest is the only one to remain alive and survive the catastrophe. He now takes the lead to gather the Lizardmen troops and bring their empire back to its old glory.

This race stands up to a noble cause as enactors of the Great Plan and they only aspire to protect the world and bring back the order. Apparently, they have to kill what comes in sight to do so.

"It is time to march on the Fallen Gates. The Elf servants have blasphemed not just by leaving Ulthuan, but by daring to interfere with the Cosmic Gates," the promo description read. "For such a heinous transgressions, the Elves must be punished as decreed by Mazdamundi, the Lord of the Solar City."

As for the visual, "Total War: Warhammer 2" looks more awesome and stunning in the latest in-engine trailer. However, the game developer reportedly intends to always make the trailers' graphics look much more stunning as compared to the the actual game, Game Debate reported.

Among the notable improvements and changes coming to "Total War: Warhammer 2" when it releases later this 2017 on PC are the four new playable races and an endgame. The fourth race remains a secret at this time but many fans believe it to be Skaven.

Following the game's announcement in March, Sega today released the first in-engine trailer for Total War: Warhammer II.

The spotlights the Lizardmen, who are described as "ancient, cold-blooded warriors" who fight on the behalf of the Old Ones. The Lizardmen are one of the four playable races in the game, joining the previously announced High Elves and Dark Elves. The fourth will be announced later.

Sega also confirmed today that Warhammer II will be playable on the E3 show floor in June. For the first time ever, this year's E3 is open to the public.

While still promising to offer the classic Total War style of gameplay, Sega and Creative Assembly claim Warhammer II features a "new style of narrative campaign." Each of the four races is competing to either save or destroy the Great Vortex over Ulthuan, and you'll have to rush to do so before anyone else can. This "struggle culminat[es] in a cataclysmic endgame."

Warhammer II does not yet have a specific release date, but it's due out sometime before the end of 2017. A third game is also expected in the future, as this series has been announced as a trilogy.
Total War: Warhammer 2 is, as the name might suggest, the sequel to 2016's Total War: Warhammer, and will once again feature classic Total War gameplay set in the high fantasy world of Games Workshop's tabletop game Warhammer.

It's worth noting that Total War: Warhammer 2 is set in the original Warhammer fantasy setting, and not the arguably better known sci-fi world of Warhammer 40,000. If you'd like to play a strategy game set in that universe, your best bet is the excellent Dawn of War 3.
When is Total War: Warhammer 2's release date?

Right now, all we know is that we should expect the game some time in 2017, which is a bit broad.

The first game was released on 24 May 2016, and it's clear that the sequel won't make a similar date this year. Instead, especially given it was only announced in March, it seems more likely to expect the game later in the year - we'd imagine some time in October or November.

We'll update this article with more concrete information once we have it.
What platforms will it come out on?

At launch, the game will be a Windows PC exclusive, but it won't stay that way. While it almost certainly won't arrive on any of the consoles, developer Creative Assembly says in an FAQ that "plans for Mac & Linux versions will be announced later in the year."

What are the pre-order options?

Again, as of yet we don't know, but we can make some educated guesses. The first Total War: Warhammer game included three playable factions by default, with a fourth (Chaos Warriors) included as a bonus for players pre-ordered or bought the game in its first week, and later a paid DLC option.

With that in mind, and given that the devs have confirmed the sequel includes four factions once again, we expect the fourth, as-yet-unannounced faction (more on that below) to be a bonus for pre-orders and early adopters, and later release as paid DLC.

As for price, the first game launched at £39.99/$59.99, and we'd expect to see the same again.

Speaking of, if you missed out on the original and want to play it before the sequel arrives, you can still pick it up on Steam at full price, but UK readers are better off heading to Amazon, which has the Old World Edition of the game, including DLC faction Bretonnia and an exclusive short story, for just £31.99 at the time of writing.

What about the gameplay?

Anyone who's played the first game, or any Total War game really, should be familiar with what to expect from this: turn-based overworld strategy with giant battles, and a campaign building towards total world domination.

Still, there are a few changes here. None of the playable factions from the first Total War: Warhammer are returning, and instead there are four new ones. Those are the High Elves, Dark Elves, and Lizardmen, with a fourth yet to be announced - though the launch trailer (at the top of the page) gives us a pretty strong hint.

The four races will be battling for control of the Great Vortex, a "vast magical maelstrom" that lies at the centre of the game's new campaign. You'll have to wage war across four continents with the combined aims of dominating the map and controlling the Vortex, the latter giving you access to new powers and abilities.

Naval units are another new addition to the campaign, as the four continents are separated by seas, though naval battles will be auto-resolved, rather than playable.

You don't need to have played the first game to follow the narrative of the sequel, but owning both will unlock some pretty exciting features. For one, any races you own from the original, including through DLC, will be playable in multiplayer here.

More than that though, owning both games will unlock one giant combined campaign including both game's maps and main factions. That won't be available at launch, but will be added as a free update shortly after release - weeks, not months, apparently.
Content continues below

This is the second game in a planned trilogy, so expect to see all three games combine even more in the final entry, whenever that arrives in the next couple of years.

You can find out more about what to expect from the campaign - and how the Great Vortex fits into it - in this video released by the developers:

Released late last year, Warhammer 40,000: Eternal Crusade didn't quite meet the rather lofty expectations of Warhammer enthusiasts, but for anyone still curious there's now a free-to-play version for the persistent world MMO / third-person shooter. Well, "free-to-play" isn't quite the right term, and it's clearly one Bandai Namco is hopeful to avoid: there's a free version, which slows down progress and gives you access to one class.

To elaborate: the free version gives you access to one of the five classes in the game, though your progress will be slowed down to a third of what it is in the full game. If at any time you want to upgrade to the full version, just purchase 20,000 credits and you'll get all classes, the correct progress speed and 20,000 for the bank.

In any case, it's available on Steam right now so if you had any inclination to play the game there's now no excuse. Sam spoke to the team behind the game last year, and there's some interesting stuff in there about the potential future of the angry-space-marines sim. sQrenhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17755737021153564133noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6068832065901189701.post-59476448386167122432011-06-28T06:01:00.000-07:002011-06-28T06:01:34.577-07:00Warhammer Version 1.4.3 Going Live Soon

The latest update for Warhammer Online is set to go live in about 13 hrs from now, at 8:00 am EST tomorrow. Version 1.4.3 is a pretty small update, with the biggest change being the new two-week long live event Sigmartide, which honors its first Emperor and man-turned-God, Sigmar.

A new group of RvR accessory sets will also be available to players. The new set is designed to fit in with the high-end armor sets, but they are only temporary items that last 9 days. The new update will also give WAR players the opportunity to change their characters name through the EA store by purchasing Name Change Token codes.

Of course the Scenarios are being reorder. No new scenarios are being introduces in version 1.4.3, but some old ones are returning, some are retiring and others are shifting tiers. Building armies with different themes has always been the real draw of the game. Warhammer Online took one of those armies and turned it into a free expansion for the game that will have players running, fighting, and playing in the end game for a long time to come. The Tomb Kings expansion for Land of the Dead brings the Egyptian themes from Warhammer to life in the online world. Players will be battling mummies, skeletons, scarabs, sands, and huge statues of enemies, but the fun part is they will be battling each other as well.

Welcome to the Land of the Dead.

View the original article here
sQrenhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17755737021153564133noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6068832065901189701.post-77142056929136520062010-12-13T22:44:00.000-08:002010-12-13T22:44:00.441-08:00New Account Entitlements come to WAR! More specifically, for those of you who don't know, Warhammer Online actually turned two years old about two weeks back on September 18, with players receiving an endless firework, the WAR double aegis, and a special two year anniversary cloak. Carrie goes on to explain that, for this year, the team is really planning to focus on improving the RvR in Warhammer Online. Given that Warhammer is virtually defined by its RvR experience, this certainly sounds like a good plan!

If you were one of those players (like myself) who player Warhammer Online during its launch week, Mike B. aka Fony also did his latest BFF Report on Warhammer Online, and while getting stuck on that terrain does seem pretty bad, Mike seems to have had fun diving back into this two-year-old game. So check out that BFF Report and remember that Warhammer Online does have an "endless trial" system for players up to level 10!

Also, you can read Gouskos' letter after the jump.

Greetings all,

September is an extra special month here in the studio. As of September 18th, WAR is officially two years old! All players celebrating two years of a Warhammer subscription will be rewarded for their service with extra special gifts; an endless firework, the WAR Double Aegis (it means we like you!), and a special two year anniversary cloak. Any player who reaches one or two years cumulatively (it does not need to be consecutive months), will receive their celebratory gifts via in-game mail.

From month to month and version to version, we've been concentrating our focus on gameplay that will maximize your in game experience, including most recently, the addition of Against All Odds, and the revitalization of RVR in the Tier 2 and Tier 3 lakes. These have worked to great effect, and so we intend to take them to the next level in the RVR Pack, by continuing our focus on Open RVR, as well as creating a new playspace in the Skaven area, and providing new things to do through new features such as play as Skaven, new armor sets and the raising of the Renown cap to 100.

We have recently released more information about these features at Games Day UK. At Games Day, we were able to dive more in depth about the ORVR changes, the playable Skaven classes, the renown changes, and an extra goodie, the Barber Surgeon, who hacks off your face and gives you a new one… for a price. In this letter, I’d like to reveal some details about these features as well as talk about the general direction Warhammer is headed in. I’ll also be talking about a timeline for the rest of the announcements around the ORVR pack, though I’m not going to be sharing the date and prices, as those haven’t been finalized yet.

While the changes we’re making to ORVR represent a holistic attitude shift in our current gameplay offering within a single zone, the campaign itself won’t be changing. Players will need to unlock the zones in order and choose which zone to fight in. All zones, once contested, will begin with each Realm owning one Keep, and the purpose is to take control of the other. The purpose is for players to fight over the Battlefield Objectives, generating Resource Carriers that will travel from the battlefield objective to their Warcamp. Once the resources reach the Warcamp, or if the other side intercepts the resource, those resources will be added to their Realm total. No longer will the win condition be based on waiting out timers after a quick capture of all the zone objectives, instead it will be based on a push-and-pull of resources, and even if one Realm is outnumbered, the longer they hold out the battle, the more points they earn for their side.

Resources gained will level your Keep, and at each level you will unlock mechanics that will help you in your effort to take down the enemy’s Keep. At Rank one, your Resource Carriers will become armored, and at Rank two they will become mounted. By Keep Rank three, you will be granted offensive siege, which will be limited now but extremely powerful. The new vision of siege is that it can really help turn the tide of battle, and as such we want to allow more freedom in placement, so they will be able to be placed anywhere around the keep. Rank four grants you the ram, more siege, and aerial bombers. The ram will be required to take down the outer door, which must happen before taking down the inner door, and then eventually capturing the Keep flag (goodbye Keep Lords!) The aerial bombers is one example of a strategy we’re opening up to melee classes, who no longer will be forced (or able) to “grind” the keep door. Now they all can take the battle inside the keep before the door is down, to help employ new tactics in the attack and defense. Finally, Rank five will offer more aerial bombers and siege, and will hopefully cinch the battle for one side or the other.

These are pretty significant changes to the game, however we’re confident that they will create many new exciting experiences in Open RVR, including, among other things, spreading out the more populated Realm, giving the less populated side new tactics to employ.

At some point during the campaign, players will also be able to take control of Skaven classes. We are bringing four beloved Skaven archetypes to the game, and players will be able to choose to control a Skaven troop instead of play their normal character (but only if they’ve earned them!) These classes include the defensive constructible building Warlock Engineer, the stealthy sabotaging Gutter Runner, the tank, rat-hurling Rat Ogre, and the supportive rat-harnassing Packmaster. Skaven are some of the coolest creatures in Warhammer lore, and we think you’ll have a real dilemma on your hands as you decide to fight alongside your trusty character(s) or harnass the sneaky power of the rat rat thing thing.

And that’s just the first glance of what’s going into the RVR Pack. As fall has arrived and the end of the year is looming, we’re going to be releasing a lot more information in the next few weeks, culminating in opening the public test server in October, where you’ll be able to check these features out for yourselves. Please help us by testing these features and providing your feedback, as you did with the cities, to great success.

In recent weeks, we’ve been enforcing new restrictions on trial players. While it is important to us that trial players have a good experience, it is imperative that their enjoyment does not infringe on the experience of our paid subscribers. If the trial access can be abused in any way, we will take a hard look at what they are allowed to do. As such, we have made some changes to trial access to servers, chat, and other in-game features. These will only be done in service of our paying subscribers, and we are sorry that a minority of players abusing the system spoil it for everyone.
Additionally, I want to let you know that we continue to work to maximize performance for all of our players. We do not want to limit player populations in the Open RVR areas by force, so we continue to work on the backend to ensure that as many people as possible can fit in an area and have a good time while there.

Speak to you very soon,

-Carrie

View the original article here
sQrenhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17755737021153564133noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6068832065901189701.post-37919376874667996422010-12-12T21:21:00.000-08:002010-12-12T21:21:00.123-08:00Submit Your Loading Screen Tips Today!

Find out why Carrie has an evil grin...
We'd like to proudly announce that we're opening up an opportunity for players to leave a lasting impression on the loading screens of Warhammer, as well as the battlefield!

Loading Screen Tips are an important part of any game's educational and entertainment value, and Warhammer is no different. This Live Event begins today, so before you dive in, prepare by reading up on some of the details that your fellow players had questions about!
Q. How is this year’s Daemon Moon Rising Live Event different from last year’s The Witching Night Live Event?
A. Everything! In fact, the only thing the same from last year are the masks. This year there’s a new, unique RvR Public Quest, a event Scenario, a special daemon encounter, and unique quests, to name just a few.

Q. Is there a special reward for completing all ten Daemon Moon Rising tasks?

A. Yes, there is a special title for completing all 10 tasks, but you can earn the Elite reward after completing only eight tasks.

Q. Are the masks from the new Live Event all Event Slot items with stats, or are some of them cosmetic and only a few of them stat-based?

A. The masks can be equipped in your helmet slot (not the event slot). Each mask has a unique ability that you can use against your enemies.

Q. Can anyone, no matter what Rank they are, participate in the Daemon Moon Rising Live Event?
A. Absolutely! There are tasks for every Rank, including those in the open RvR areas.
Q. Is the Magnus Daemonarium mask going to be the same graphic as last year’s Mask of the Bloodletter?

A. The Magnus Daemonarium is actually not a mask. It's the event slot item reward that you can earn for completing eight event tasks.
Q. What do the Magnus Daemonarium and Malleus Daemonarium do?

A. The Magnus Daemonarium and Malleus Daemonarium provide career-specific statistics into the event slot on the character sheet, and decays in real-time.

Q. Where does the Daemonball Rally Public Quest take place?

A. The Daemonball Rally Public Quest takes place in each of the Empire and Chaos RvR areas.

Q. What is the length of the Daemonball PQ? How often will the PQ reset after it is finished?

A. The length of time that the Daemonball PQ lasts depends on the players. Similar to football, the Public Quest requires you to deliver a demon skull to your Realm's goal. Scoring five points wins the Public Quest for your Realm. Watch your goal, however as the enemy can destroy delivered skulls to remove points you’ve earned!

Q. How many gold bags will be awarded/how easy will it be to win a gold bag and get that awesome Leather Face Mask?
A. You will be able to obtain the Leather Face Mask by completing the Daemonball Rally open RvR Public Quest. Three gold bags are awarded to the victors of the Daemonball Rally Public Quest, and the Leather Face Mask has a 100% chance to be in the gold bags.

As stated earlier, this takes place in each of the Empire vs. Chaos RvR areas, so anyone can participate!

Q. How do I obtain the Face-Eater’s Mask?

A. Obtaining the Face-Eater’s Mask is achieved by defeating Goreslake the Bloodthirster. It is a strictly PvE encounter located somewhere within the Chaos Wastes. There are two versions of this PQ, one for Order and another for Destruction. For each successful win, three gold bags that contain either the Face-Eater's Mask or the Magnus Daemonarium will drop.

Q. Will the masks from last year's event become tradeable? Some of them, such as the Silver and Bloodletter mask, were not. (One was an influence reward, the other was PQ loot.)

A. As a general rule of thumb, if a mask was not tradeable last year, it won’t be tradeable this year.

Q. Will the masks, even the ones from last year, feature stats or something to make them useful to wear instead of armor (particularly armor sets)?
A. Each mask is imbued with a unique ability that can be used in battle. The ability will only be useable during the Daemon Moon Rising Live Event.

Q. Will there ever be a Skaven-themed mask?

A. Never say never, but not this year.

Did you know that existing unguilded characters under Rank 20 can join the two New Player Guilds? All those present turn as bestial laughter echoes throughout the dank cavern. The sickly-green glow of Warpstone illuminates the face of the great Grey Seer, Thanquol, as he steps forward, arms raised.Rather than give a stage-by-stage walk through of the Dungeon, I’m just going to talk about what you are probably most interested to hear about: Boss Fights. As a general rule, the bosses will stand their ground, and not chase players all over the place – there are some special cases which could arise, but you’ll find them standing still most of the time. Remember, they are here to aggravate your RvR fighting, not become a full on PvE situation. The first boss you encounter will be the Warlock Engineer Skeetk. He is a master of Warp-Energy, and will definitely use that to his advantage. Don’t let Skeetk’s lack of adds fool you; he has some pretty nasty tricks up his sleeve - Some of which will cause you to die a painful, crispy, death if you’re not paying attention to your surroundings. If allowed to build up enough of a charge, Skeetk will let loose with a devastating attack that will decimate the area. It’s probably best you don’t allow that to happen ... or, at least be sure he’s focused on your enemy at the time. The second boss you encounter will be Throt the Unclean. Throt will not come alone, however. He has the ability to summon Rat Ogres, and uses that ability to ensure there are always two such beasts around to aid him. These Rat Ogres are not your run of the mill beasts, either. They are extremely focused, and once they have chosen a target, they will not waver until that target has been killed... well, most of the time, anyway. Throt, himself, has few abilities he employs, letting his dominated pets do most of his dirty work for him. He does get hungry, however -very, very hungry. You’ll want to make sure someone is keeping track of Throt’s hunger; the havoc he can wreak when hungry is nothing compared to when he becomes ravenous! He is, of course, accompanied by his construct, Boneripper. Thanquol also activates Mantraps hidden throughout the area, so be careful... your next step could very well be your last. While Boneripper charges through the area, looking for unwary players leaning over ledges, Thanquol tarnishes the area with corruption and plaque. Thanquol believes his ability to reconstruct Boneripper, should you manage to take him down, coupled with his near impenetrable barriers of sickness, put him at a marked advantage. Perhaps it’s time for someone to use Thanquol’s own corruption against him for a change.
With the fall of Thanquol, the Incursion ends. The surface is free to begin gathering resources once more. Now... if only there was something you could do with all that Warpstone you’ve plundered...

View the original article here
sQrenhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17755737021153564133noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6068832065901189701.post-76366771420395512182010-12-01T08:06:00.000-08:002010-12-01T08:06:00.760-08:00WAR Quartermasters: The Future of RvR at Ten Ton Hammer
Rewarding even the little guy for his efforts

What could possibly be more exciting than a bloodthirsty charge into a mass of enemy soldiers?
